5 out of 5 stars Wonderful guide to milk glass Reviewer: A reader from Cleveland, Oh September 27, 1999 This is a wonderful guide to the possibilities in milk glass collecting. I found much here that I never knew existed and the full color photos of each item are beautiful. The book is arranged by subject matter. Data on each item includes manufacturer, size, dates of production & current market value range. Some of my favorites are the kitchen utensils, lamps & beautifully decorated plates. There is a wealth of detailed information for collectors here. The introduction has some general collecting tips plus how to get a feel for old glass vs. new. Detailed histories of all the major producers follows. Finally, the catalog pages of more common recent lines by Westmoreland, Fenton and Imperial are reproduced with a value guide. This book really helped me understand and appreciate what milk glass is all about.
5 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for identification. Very pleased! Reviewer: A reader from Florida, USA May 9, 1999 Am very pleased with this book. Page after page of great pictures. Easy to use and informative. You won't regret buying this book for your collecting library.
I found this book marginal, at best. Reviewer: A reader from Clarkston, Washington July 11, 1999 I found this book lacking much information which I was seeking. Many of the pages have nice pictures but give little information about the glass, how to identify manufacturers, dates of production, etc.. I am currently searching for a book that gives much more details and information then found in this selection. I know there must be something out there that is more thorough and informational.
