A Must for the Jeweler's Bookshelf May 1, 2000 Reviewer: auric-argent from Alton, Illinois, USA If you are a jeweler, and don't have this book, order it now! If you are just interested in how jewelry is made, this an excellent, simply written book that will eliminate some of the mysteries, and could even get you into making jewelry or other metalsmithing projects as a hobby. Written in simple terms, this convenient to use (spiral bound) book is one of the most easy-to-read, on this subject, you will find. McCreight is a great teacher, and this book, like a lot of his books, proves it.

Straightforward December 7, 1999 Reviewer: Rick Anderson from Michigan Unlike many art books, this book is very straightforward and cuts out all the BS I have found to be in many Art books .... It is the book used in the Jewelry Class here at Western Michigan U. All the examples are well illustrated, and the explanations are excellent. It covers everything from materials to tools and techniques ranging from elementary to advanced. Anyone who wants to get into Jewelry Metalsmithing should get this book.
